Privacy Policy

Effective date · 29 May 2026

Flash Reader is a speed-reading app for iPhone. It is built around a simple principle: your reading is yours. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your data.

The short version

Flash Reader does not collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party data-collection SDKs. There is no Flash Reader server — the developer never receives your books, highlights, settings, or any information about how you use the app.

What stays on your device

Everything you create or configure in Flash Reader is stored locally on your device and never leaves it except through features of iOS that you control (such as your own device backups):

This data is stored in the app's local database on your device. It is not transmitted to the developer or to any third party.

When the app uses the network

Flash Reader works fully offline. It makes network requests in only one situation, and only because you asked it to:

When you import from a URL, your interaction with that website is governed by that website's own privacy policy, not this one.

Importing local files (.epub, .pdf, .txt) and pasting text are processed entirely on your device with no network activity.

Data collection, selling, and sharing

Because Flash Reader collects no personal data, there is nothing to sell, rent, share, or disclose. The app's App Store privacy label reflects this as "Data Not Collected."

Purchases

Flash Reader is a one-time paid app with no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no advertising. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive your payment details — only the aggregate sales information Apple provides to all developers.

Children

Flash Reader does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. The app contains no accounts, no user-generated content sharing, and no ads.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be reflected in an app update where appropriate.
